Get free dental treatment in Baton Rouge this weekend
BATON ROUGE - Nearly half of American Adults don't have dental insurance of any kind. The Louisiana Dental Association hopes to improve that statistic in our area with the event they're hosting this weekend.
The Mission of Mercy Free Two-Day Clinic began Friday morning. There are no income or eligibility requirements, and between 1,500 and 2,000 patients will be treated on a first come, first serve basis.
Hundreds of dentists and dental assistants will be on hand to treat those that don't go to the dentist because of finances, fear or any other reason.
The Free Dental Clinic is now underway at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Baton Rouge. It opens at 6 a.m. Saturday as well. You can park in the overflow lot at L'auberge if there isn't space at 8810 Innovation Park Dr.
