GBR fair closed again Monday
BATON ROUGE- The Greater Baton Rouge state fair announced it will remain closed on Monday due to severe weather in the area.
The fair closed over the weekend after heavy rain caused flooding in some areas of Baton Rouge.
Event organizers say the festival will reopen as soon as it is dry enough to safely operate. A spokesperson for the fair released a statement saying, "we ask for the public's understanding as we, like everyone else, weather the storm."
The fair runs through November 1st.
