Gators take first bite, lead 3-0
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers stalled on their first drive of the ballgame, but the Florida Gators responded with a 60-yard, 14-play scoring drive capped with a 44-yard field goal to lead 3-0.
Tyler Murphy went 3-for-4 for 23 yards passing and even scrambled for four more on the drive.
Florida converted two crucial third down plays to keep the drive alive and get the ball in Tiger territory.
The drive spanned 7:27 on the game clock, as the Gators have the field goal advantage with 4:28 left in the first quarter.
