BATON ROUGE - Average retail gasoline prices dropped 5.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.65 a gallon.

Compared to a year ago at this time, prices in Baton Rouge are 11.9 cents a gallon lower.

Prices fell 3.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.81 a gallon which is now the national average.

The national average now stands nearly 10-cents lower per gallon compared to a year ago.
