Gas price tumble continues
BATON ROUGE - The past month has finally brought some relief at the pump for drivers following a summer of high prices.
The national average for a gallon of gas is now $3.04. That's the lowest it's been since December 2010. The national average has now dropped 30 cents over the last 32 days. The tumble has drivers in 17 states paying less than $3.00/gallon.
Southern states like South Carolina and Alabama currently have the lowest prices in the country, while California, Alaska and Hawaii are the highest.
