BATON ROUGE - Gas prices in Louisiana are trending down, but Baton Rouge doesn't have the cheapest in the state.
According to AAA, drivers in New Orleans are paying the least. Some gas stations are selling fuel as low as $2.90; about 35 cents cheaper than the average in Baton Rouge.
Experts say the difference in price is based on proximity, and New Orleans will see changes well before the Baton Rouge area.
The cheapest gas in Baton Rouge is on the corner of Coursey Boulevard and Sherwood at $3.17 a gallon.
