Garbage fees decrease in West Baton Rouge Parish
PORT ALLEN - An administration official told the West Baton Rouge Parish Council that parish residents would see a slight reduction on their garbage collection bills for the next two years.
Parish Executive Assistant Jason Manola told the council Thursday there will be a 50-cent decrease in September and it will be passed along to the customer.
Manola said the rate decrease is part of the parish's contract with Allied Waste, which is now called Republic Services. He says the reduction will show up on October bills and will continue through 2014.
