Galatoire's closes, relocating in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - Fans of Galatoire's Bistro can breathe a sigh of relief: the popular restaurant is not closed for good, just for now.
The restaurant is moving to a new location, so it closed its branch at 17451 Perkins Road on Sunday, May 30.
According to a press release, Galatoire's will move to a new location near the center of Baton Rouge, in order to be closer to business customers and their "strong, local, loyal clientele."
Galatoire's chairman of the board Todd Trosclair says, "Galatoire's Bistro has built a reputation for the finest French cuisine available in Baton Rouge. Quite simply, we want Galatoire's Bistro to be closer to the growing, vibrant neighborhoods of Baton Rouge, especially downtown, Southdowns, the Capitol area and the Garden District."
Galatoire's Bistro expects to announce its new address sometime later this summer.
