Funeral set for Trevor Sims
BATON ROUGE - Family members announced funeral arrangements today for Trevor Sims, the 11-year-old who raised thousands of dollars to fight hunger in Baton Rouge.
Trevor died Wednesday after a battle with a disease called RMS. He was featured multiple times on "2 Make a Difference with Sylvia Weatherspoon" for his efforts to raise money for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Healing Place Church on Highland Road. Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the service to follow.
