Funeral home sex abuse investigation
LONGVIEW - A Washington funeral home employee has been cleared by police of sex abuse allegations. The employee, still working at the funeral home, had been accused of fondling a deceased woman's breasts. The Washington State Department of Licensing investigated Columbia Funeral Services. A female employee told police that she witnessed a male employee fonding the woman's breasts. Police investigated the allegations but did not charge the employee with a crime. Investigators said they could not substantiate whether a crime had actually occured. The mother of the deceased woman is suing the funeral home for more than three thousand dollars for what she said: "severe emotional distress, outrage and depression" as a result of the allegations.
