Funeral arrangements announced for slain officers

BATON ROUGE – Funeral arrangements have been announced for two of the slain officers involved in Sunday's shooting.
 
BRPD Officer Matthew Gerald and Corporal Montrell Jackson were two of the three officers killed during a shooting that took place on Airline Highway on early Sunday morning.

Officer Gerald was a Marine and did three tours in Iraq. He served with the Baton Rouge Police Department for less than one year. The Geralds have two daughters.

BRPD Corporal Montrell Jackson was a 10-year veteran of the Baton Rouge Police Department and leaves behind a wife and 4-month-old son.
