BATON ROUGE- A man wanted for the aggravated rape of a minor was arrested in Baton Rouge.
Anthony Dreon Allen, 18, was wanted by the Baker Police Department as a suspect in the aggravated rape of an 11-year-old girl.
The Louisiana Attorney General's Fugitive Apprehension Unit conducted a fugitive investigation to assist the Baker Police Department in locating Allen. With the assistance of the Baton Rouge Police Department, agents arrested Allen in the 11600 block of Kingston Drive.
Allen was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. If convicted as charged, Allen faces life in prison without the benefit of parole.
In 2008, Attorney General Caldwell established the Fugitive Apprehension Unit-a program created to assist local law enforcement agencies in locating and apprehending fugitives. To date, more than 700 fugitives have been captured as a result of Caldwell's initiative.
