NEW ORLEANS- Volunteers are helping to search for a teacher who hasn't been seen since the weekend.

Fellow teachers said Thursday, Terrilynn Monette is one of the best teachers, and it's not like her to vanish. They're hoping they can find something to lead them to her.

For days, groups have been searching the area where she was last seen: the Lakeview neighborhood.

"I don't feel like a sense of loss," Monette's mother, Toni Enclade said.

"I feel like she's out there. I feel as a mother I would know."

Monette drives a 2-door, 2012 black Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate WUN 494.
