Freedom through a sewer system
An investigation is underway in Brazil after 27 convicts made a prison break by crawling through the sewer system. It happened at the Bangu Prison in Rio de Janeiro state. Thirty-one prisoners tried to escape, 27 got out, and four were caught still inside the sewer system. There's no background on the types of crimes the convicts were serving time for or how dangerous they may be. Rio state's Prison Affairs Department did not respond to repeated requests for more details.
