Free skin cancer screening can win you tickets to the Manship
BATON ROUGE - Dr. Gerald Miletello from Baton Rouge General Medical Center, and Renee Chatelain, the Director of the Manship Theatre, both joined Whitney on 2une In Wednesday to talk about how getting a free skin cancer screening can save your life and win you tickets to the Manship.
More than 2 million people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year, and early detection makes all the difference. Baton Rouge General's Pennington Cancer Center is sponsoring a free skin cancer screening Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Baton Rouge General's Mid City campus. \ The screening is free and open to anyone 45 and older.
Baton Rouge General is teaming-up with the Manship Theatre for the free screenings. The first 25 people to register for the event will receive tickets to the Manship Theatre's presentation of River North Dance Chicago performance on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
One of the pieces is titled "Eva" and is inspired by singer Eva Cassidy who was diagnosed with melanoma and lost her battle with cancer in 1996 at the age of 33.
