Four teens accused of numerous burglaries
DENHAM SPRINGS- Four teenagers were arrested and charged after burglaries in the Denham Springs area.
A deputy recognized the car in connection with the crimes from a surveillance picture taken from a local convenience store, where several young men tried to use a stolen credit card, which they obtained from one of the burglaries.
The car was parked at a mobile home on Linder Road, where deputies say the smell of marijuana was emanating.
The suspects admitted their involvement in the thefts after questioned by detectives.
-Kieran Bell is charged with 1 Count Possession of Stolen Things and 6 Counts Simple Burglary.
-Geoffrey Gilcrease is charged with 1 Count Possession of Stolen Things.
-David Oaks is charged with 1 Count Possession of Stolen Things, 8 Counts Simple Burglary and 1 Count Failure to Appear on a Speeding Ticket
-Caleb Pogue is charged with 1 Count Possession of Stolen Things and 8 Counts Simple Burglary.
When detectives were examining one of the stolen laptops, one of the suspects realized that his "partner in crime" had stolen his laptop.
All of the teenagers are being held at the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
This is an ongoing investigation and more charges are expected.
