Four rescued after plane crashes in Gulf
NEW ORLEANS- Four people are recovering following a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico, 170 miles southwest of New Orleans.
The Coast Guard had received a report that the plane was forced to make a water landing.
An off-shore drilling rig deployed a fast rescue boat to the victims of the plane crash.
They were taken back to the oil rig where they were given medical evaluations and air lifted to West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero.
Their injuries are not life threatening.
