Four charged in Landrieu phone scheme
Four people have been arrested and accused by the FBI of trying to interfere with the telephone system in the New Orleans office of U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, federal authorities said.
An FBI affidavit says the incident happened Monday.
At least two of the suspects were dressed in work clothes and construction hats and claimed they were technicians for a telephone company.
The four were identified by the U.S. Attorney's Office on Tuesday as James O'Keefe, 25; Stan Dai, 24; Robert Flanagan 24; and Joseph Basel, 24.
