BATON ROUGE- Shawn Forrest has resigned his position as assistant coach for the LSU men's basketball team.

Head coach Johnny Jones said Monday that Forrest was leaving for personal reasons.

Forrest joined the coaching staff shortly after Jones was named head coach at LSU in April.

Jones has begun a search to replace Forrest on the Tiger coaching staff.
