Former WAFB employee arrested, charged with video voyeurism
BATON ROUGE - Police have booked a 27-year-old on two counts of video voyeurism.
Morgan McDermitt, a former WAFB employee, was arrested Wednesday after police say he secretly filmed women using the restroom on two separate occasions.
According to the arrest affidavit, McDermitt admitted to placing a cell phone in a bathroom Tuesday at WAFB studios on Government Street to record someone using the toilet.
A female employee noticed the cell phone sticking out of a jacket near the toilet, according to arrest documents. The employee realized the phone was recording when she picked it up.
Police say McDermitt also admitted to a similar incident that occurred earlier this month.
