Former video store employee gets 40 years
An ex-employee of a video game store has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for robbing other video stores.
Gregory Reaux was fired from a GameStop store in Hammond in 2008.
Four GameStop stores were robbed in 2009 in St. Tammany Parish by a man using a box cutter as a weapon and wearing a cut shirt sleeve as a mask.
Several thousand dollars were taken in the robberies, along with merchandise.
A jury convicted Reaux on July 30 of three counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery.
He was sentenced last week to 10 years on each count, all to run consecutively.
