Former TV star's rape trial pushed back
BATON ROUGE - Attorneys asked this week that the aggravated rape trial of former "Sons of Guns" star Will Hayden be pushed back to later this summer.
The court agreed to the request, which came from East Baton Rouge prosecutors and defense attorneys, to continue the trial back to Aug. 22 at 9:30 a.m.
Hayden faces two counts of aggravated rape and a count of forcible rape in East Baton Rouge Parish. He's accused of sexually abusing a young child, as well as another child in Livingston Parish in a separate case. Hayden's daughter and former TV co-star, Stephanie Ford, also claimed her father molested her when she was younger after the previous rape accusations were made.
The accusations and Hayden's arrest led to the cancellation of his TV show. He was also removed as owner of his company, Red Jacket Firearms.
