Former Southern Lab product Chuck Wiley returns to host football camp
BATON ROUGE - Chuck Wiley has been out of the NFL since 2004, but the former Southern Lab and LSU defensive end once again offered some pro-level to more than 100 aspiring youngsters at his 12th annual Bayou All-Stars camp.
Wiley met with young boys (and girls for cheerleading camp) at Southern Lab: Wiley says it's important to show the young men and women that no matter where they start, they can achieve all of their dreams.
"Kids from our area don't hear a lot about success stories and then on top of that they don't hear about guys coming back," Wiley said.
"I always tell these kids I came from the same streets out here, came from the same neighborhood.
If you take advantage of it, work your tail off, take care of your business, there will be a green light at the end of the tunnel."
