Former Sorrento police officer sentenced for indecent behavior with juvenile

SORRENTO - A former Sorrento police officer, 36-year old Owen Ockman Jr., was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections for indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Ockman, of Gonzales, was found guilty on one count of the above charge by an Ascension Parish Jury back in April 2015 after inappropriately touching a juvenile girl between May 2009 and August 2011.
Ockman was taken into the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
