Former Saints player surrenders to police
LOS ANGELES - Former NFL player Darren Sharper is in police custody in Los Angeles for the alleged rapes of two women in New Orleans.
According to ESPN.com Sharper surrendered to police Thursday night.
An arrest warrant was issued for the former New Orleans Saints player and another man, accusing them of raping two women in New Orleans last year.
Sharper is also under investigation in sexual assault cases in Florida, Nevada and Arizona and has pleaded not guilty to rape charges in Los Angeles.
