Former principal accused of locking child in closet out on bail
BATON ROUGE- Shafeeq Syid Shamsid-Deen bonded out of jail Monday.
The former Laurel Oaks Charter School principal also faces additional charges of cruelty to juveniles and false imprisonment after authorities issued more warrants for his arrest last week.
Deen was accused of locking a 5-year-old girl in a closet because she was "bad." After the incident in August, Shamsid-Deen was relieved of his duties at the school
