Former New Orleans officer sentenced in bridge shootings
A former New Orleans police detective who admitted he helped cover up deadly shootings on a bridge after Hurricane Katrina, has been sentenced to three years in prison.
Jeffrey Lehrmann is one of five former officers who pleaded guilty in the probe of the Danziger Bridge shootings.
Two people died and four others were hurt in the shootings.
Lehrman remains free on a $25,000 bond until the trial begins.
