Former Metro Councilmember Buddy Wilson has died
BATON ROUGE – Former Metro Councilmember and Constable Richard “Buddy” Wilson died Friday at the age of 78.
Wilson served six years on the East Baton Rouge City Council. He was first sworn in as District 6 Metro Councilman in Jan. 1989 and was elected to his second term in 1993. Wilson was elected to City Constable in 1995.
Wilson is the father of EBRP Metro Councilmember Scott Wilson and EBRP Assessor Brian Wilson.
Visitation is set for Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Tuesday visitation will be at Our Lady of Mercy at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services and burial will follow.
