TORONTO, Ontario - Former LSU star Kevin Gausman pitched five innings allowing four runs, seven hits, and struck out two in his MLB debut Thursday night.

Gausman, with the Baltimore Orioles, kept the Toronto Blue Jays off the board for the first three innings before pitching into trouble, and giving up two runs, in the fourth. The former Tiger also gave up two more in the fifth before being pulled for reliever Troy Patton.

The right-hand pitcher from Centennial, Co., pitched only eight starts for the Orioles AA organization before being promoted to the big leagues. Gausman is currently the youngest pitcher in the American League.

The Blue Jays beat the Orioles 12-6 & Gausman was credited with the loss.
