Former LSU basketball player graduates 22 years later
Stanley Roberts finally got the joy of seeing his mother's brightest beaming face, as the seven-foot former basketball star walked across the graduation stage Friday morning.
Roberts is the first college graduate in his family. At the ripe age of 42, he's also one of this weekend's oldest LSU graduates.
Not money, a learning disability, supporting four children, nor any other obstacle could stand in his way. The former college teammate of Shaquille O'Neal can finally say he's an LSU graduate.
