A Baton Rouge man is accused of altering a check he was issued when he was released from jail.
East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's deputies are looking for 29 year old James Davis Johnson.
He's accused of altering a check he received from the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office.
The check was written in the amount of 87 cents. Johnson is accused of changing the check to read $860.
The check was cashed at a Baton Rouge grocery store on August 13, 2009.
Johnson faces charges of felony theft, access device fraud, forgery and monetary instrument abuse.
