BATON ROUGE - An attempt to stall the deposition of the former Health and Hospitals Secretary in Louisiana has been refused by a Baton Rouge judge.
Lawyers for the Jindal Administration wanted to push back the deposition of Bruce Greenstein in a wrongful termination lawsuit, but Judge Tim Kelley denied the request.
Greenstein is scheduled for questioning on October 10.
His testimony is part of a lawsuit filed by Client Network Services Inc., or CNSI, accusing the state of breach of contract for canceling the company's $200 million Medicaid contract.
A state grand jury is investigating the contract award. The Jindal administration has accused Greenstein of inappropriate contact with CNSI throughout the bid process.
An attorney for Greenstein says the former secretary wants to give his deposition to clear his name.
