BELLE CHASSE - A former teacher and coach at Belle Chasse High School was arrested for computer-aided solicitation of a minor on Oct. 24, according to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office.

Lane Pace, 24, of Zachary was arrested after school officials reported that he was possibly engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a student, officials said.

According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, authorities were notified on Oct. 13 by the Plaquemines Parish School Board of a possible inappropriate relationship between Pace and a 17-year-old female student.

Officials said the investigation revealed the relationship between the two began when the student was about 15-years-old.

Pace was released from custody on Oct. 24 on a $50,000 bond, officials said.

This is an on-going investigation and additional charges may be filed.
