Fore! sale; deal being putted to buy Bluffs
ST. FRANCISVILLE - Sources close to a deal to buy The Bluffs community in West Feliciana confirmed to WBRZ Monday night, an offer could be finalized by the end of August.
Kenneth Carter and Jerry Dodson are reportedly working to secure the site from Claude Penn, the current owner.
The Bluffs features an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer surrounded by homes. There is also a resort on the property with swimming pools, a chapel, tennis courts and driving range.
The Bluffs is located on the banks of Thompson Creek, just outside the city of St. Francisville.
A purchase price was not revealed, but it is listed around $10 million.
In July, the WBRZ Investigative Unit reported there was an investigation underway over allegations fake documents were used to lower the course's tax assessment by nearly a quarter of a million dollars.
