Food truck burns in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - Firefighters responded to a food truck fire in north Baton Rouge during the noon rush Thursday.
The fire destroyed the truck, which was actually a bus converted to serve grilled meats and seafood.
The truck's owner said he was outside the truck on Plank Road and Hollywood Street setting it up for lunch when he saw it catch fire.
Baton Rouge Fire investigators said the truck had a charcoal grill inside which started the fire, which the fire department said was illegal.
