Food bank trucks vandalized
BATON ROUGE - When people showed up for work Monday morning at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, they found the windshields of two of their trucks smashed in.
An unknown person, or persons, smashed them with large rocks, rendering the trucks useless for at least two days.
For the food bank, that's a lot of lost time.
"Not only are they picking up food, but they're delivering food to our agencies in the 11 parish service area. It's put a strain on our team to try and get as much food as possible to the places that have scheduled deliveries," said Amy Sellers, the Food Bank's VP of food procurement.
