Following shooter's death, investigators find marriage license in Vegas
BATON ROUGE- The man accused of shooting TV personality Scott Rogers has died, sources told WBRZ's Ryan Naquin Friday.
Rogers was shot and killed by Mathew Hodgkinson, Rogers' son-in-law and also his lover. After shooting Rogers, Hodgkinson shot himself but initially survived the gunshot. He was kept alive at an area hospital until Friday.
But, there are still questions about who took Hodgkinson off life support Friday.
" [I] still have questions to be asked about the procedure that was done today," Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi said.
Also Friday, authorities said they believe they have found a marriage license for Hodgkinson and Rogers' daughter. They have been searching for legal documentation of their wedding since the shooting. Investigators said they may have located one in Las Vegas.
Rogers' daughter has said nothing publicly about the situation involving her family.
