Flood Watch

Heavy rain expected today with rainfall totals around 2 to 3 inches expected, and some areas could receive around 4 inches!  Due to this the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for today and tonight.  Click here to read the details.

If you live near areas that typically hold water, or have flooded in the past keep an eye on them throughout the day.  At this point, major flooding is not expected, but area streams, creeks, and drainage ditches will likely fill up.

Local rivers may run pretty high, but as of right now they are not expected to flood.  However, that could change depending on how much rain falls on the river watersheds, so be sure to check back with News 2 over the next few days for updates if needed.
