DENHAM SPRINGS - One of the last roads still closed from the flood reopened this week.

DOTD announced Tuesday, the bridge over West Colyell Creek was repaired and open. La. 1027 - or Burgess Avenue - was closed from Lockhart Road to Peak Lane after the flood damaged the bridge over the creek.

Down stream, the bridge over the same creek on Highway 190 was also damaged and repaired following the August disaster.
