Due to the heavy rain threat starting today and lasting through Saturday, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch in effect for the Baton Rouge area from 7 AM this morning until 7 PM Saturday.
We could pick up 2 to 4 inches of rain between today and Saturday Night. This will allow for some flash flooding, so be sure to keep an eye out for rising water this weekend as area streams, creeks and drainage ditches could rise quickly!
Keep it tuned to WBRZ-TV, WBRZ.com, our Facebook and Twitter pages and our Cable Weather Channel for additional weather information today through the weekend.
