Flash Flood Watch
A ***FLASH FLOOD WATCH*** is in effect until 7pm Thursday for the entire area.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms may produce heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning today and tomorrow. Persistent storms may produce ponding of water on roadways and in areas of poor drainage. Flash flooding is also a possibility. Rain and cloud cover will hold thermometers near 80° but it will still be muggy. Showers and storms remain in the forecast overnight with a sticky low near 70°.
With a continuous stream of moisture, heavy rain remains in the forecast for Thursday and possibly Friday. By the time activity tapers, 3-5" of rain may fall area-wide with isolated amounts of 5-10".
