Flags flown at half staff for firefighters
BATON ROUGE - People in Louisiana are taking time to remeber the 19 firefighters who lost their lives battling a wildfire in Arizona.
Flags at the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office as well as the Department of Agriculture and Forestry are being flown half staff today in honor of those firefighters died in the blaze.
Commissioner Mike Strain also ordered all LDAF offices statewide to be flown at half staff.
Authorities believe the wildfire began Friday, following a lightning strike and spread to at least 2,000 acres about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix.
