Five teens arrested for hates crime in Baker
Baker police have arrested five teenagers accused of physically attacking and verbally abusing two women and three young children of Hispanic descent at a playground near the Baker Municipal Building.
Lt. James Broussard said Broderick Ford and Trenisha Franklin, both 17, were booked late Tuesday night on felony second-degree battery and hate-crime counts, along with misdemeanor counts of
disturbing the peace and three counts each of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
Broussard says the three juveniles accompanying Ford and Franklin were booked at the Parish Juvenile Detention Center on hate crime, disturbing the peace and second-degree battery counts.
