INDEPENDENCE - Multiple law enforcement agencies joined forces to conduct a raid on a Tangipahoa Parish home last week.

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards says the following five men were arrested in connection to the drug suppression operation.

Allen Cook, 49, of Hammond

Shelby Snow, 24, of Amite

Shep Garner, 28, of Hammond

Omie Bickham, 38, of Hammond

David Blount Jr., 32, of Hammond

Authorities say the raid took place on August 17 around 1:30 p.m. As they approached the house, they witnessed one suspect throwing drugs and paraphernalia out of the window.

Once inside the home, multiple drugs were identified such as 60 grams of "crack" cocaine and 10 grams of processed heroin. Digital scales, plastic bags, a gun and an undisclosed amount of money were also found in the house.

The five suspects denied any knowledge of the items found in the raid. They were all booked into Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
