First-time unemployment claims up
BATON ROUGE - First-time unemployment insurance claims are up from last week in Louisiana.
Figures released for the state Department of Labor show initial claims increased from 2,309 to 2,707.
The comparable week a year earlier had 3,089.
The four-week moving average increased to 2,425 from the previous week's total of 2,377.
