First full day of spring
Use CAUTION if you're traveling Early Friday for locations along and south of I-10. A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in place until 9am.
The troublesome spots have been near the river along with Gonzales and New Orleans. The National Weather Service has received reports of less than 1/8 mile visibilities in Gonzales and near 0 visibilities in the Kenner area.
Southerly winds of around 10mph will help to pump in some added warmth this afternoon. With some sunshine, look for thermometers to pop in the upper 70s. Some locations, especially those farther south, may grab lower 80s. With the southerly pump ongoing, tonight's lows will be some 10° milder than last night and about that much warmer than average. Also, clouds should lower and become more widespread. Some patchy fog cannot be ruled out either.
