ST. FRANCISVILLE- A group of people wanting to be the parish's first parish president met with voters Thursday night.

Recently, voters approved a change in the way the parish is governed, and they'll elect a new leader to lead the change in October.

Candidates spoke about change and what the is needed to guide West Feliciana into the future.

John Kean and Lea Williams, both current police jurors, are campaigning against former State Representative Tom Mcvea and businessman Kevin Couhig.

After the election for parish president, district lines will be drawn for parish council seats.
