First Baton Rouge baby of 2015 named Evelynn
BATON ROUGE - Woman's Hospital confirmed that the first baby born in Baton Rouge this year is a healthy baby girl.
The first 2015 birth in the capital area is baby Evelynn, weighing in at 7 pounds and 10 ounces. She was born just after midnight according to hospital officials.
An Ochsner spokesperson said their hospital also had a birth after midnight, but about an hour later.
