BATON ROUGE- People gathered on Christmas Eve to watch as firefighters rushed to extinguish a fire in an upscale neighborhood.
Fire crews were dispatched to the home on Bocage Boulevard just before 4 p.m. Tuesday. As many as forty-five minutes after the dispatch, smoke was still visible from the home which became a singed shell of a house.
Witnesses said the homeowners were not home.
Fire fighters have not released details of the fire.
