BATON ROUGE- Authorities have responded to three fires throughout the Baton Rouge area since Wednesday night.

The first fire broke out around 10 p.m. in the 1300 block of Oleander Street. A spokesperson for the Baton Rouge Fire Department says the blaze was determined an arson fire and is being investigated. The house was completely destroyed.

Shortly after that fire, Saint George firefighters responded to a blaze at an apartment complex on Rush Avenue near Gardere. Some of the windows at the apartment building were boarded up so it wasn't immediately clear if anyone was living  in it.

Crews got the fire under control and left the scene early Thursday morning, but around 3 a.m. another call came in saying the entire apartment building was on fire. Crews were still on the scene as of 4 a.m.

Firefighters responded to a third blaze on Robbie Avenue around 2 a.m. It only took crews a few minutes to get the fire under control, but authorities say one person had to be rescued from the home. Authorities say this fire was started accidentally.

All three fires are still under investigation.
